When operating a business online you should provide at least an online payment option where your customers can pay and settle their bills online without them being in your store and you, accept the payments online.

This is where Gcash comes into play. In Gcash, your customers can simply log in to their GCash App, swipe left, check their special QR code, and input the sum to be charged. Your customer’s payment is electronically transferred to your account. It’s that easy. No POS terminals, maintenance, or manual cash sweeping are needed.

You must first create an account before you can begin using the mobile app. The GCash mobile app makes registration fast and simple. There are other options for registering, but the app is the most convenient since all other approaches need a mobile phone.

Before you do something else, make sure you have the GCash App downloaded. GCash is an app that works on both Android and iOS platforms. The following links will take you to the app’s download page:

GCash — Buy Load, Pay Bills, Send Money — Apps on Google Play

‎GCash on the App Store (apple.com)

Once the Gcash app is now downloaded to your phone, you are now good to register an account via the Gcash app.

Registration Steps via the GCash App

  1. Download the GCash mobile app[1]
  2. Enter your mobile number and tap “Next.”
  3. You will receive a six-digit authentication code on the number you provided. Input the code then tap “Submit Code.”
  4. Provide your information in the next pages such as name, birthdate, address, and email address and tap “Submit.”
  5. Create a four-digit mobile PIN (MPIN). You will use this MPIN in all GCash transactions.
  6. Read through the Terms and Conditions and tap “Submit.”
  7. Tap “Proceed to Login” to explore your new GCash account. Log in using your four-digit MPIN.

Next, in order to transfer and receive payments via the Gcash app from one person to another, you must have a verified account first. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) needs account authentication, also known as Know Your Customer (KYC), to verify the identity of customers for money services like GCash. To access all of GCash’s functionality and facilities, you must first complete the verification process.

Steps to Account Verification

  1. Login to your GCash account on your app.
  2. Tap the menu bar on the upper left corner and tap “Verify Now.”
  3. Choose “Get Fully Verified” and tap “Next.”
  4. Choose a valid ID, tap “Next,” and take a picture of the ID.
  5. Tap “Next” and take a selfie. Make sure you’re in a well-lit room.
  6. Fill in the required information and make sure everything is accurate.
  7. Tick the box to accept the Terms and Conditions and tap “Confirm.”
  8. Wait for 30 minutes for GCash to review your application.

Final Thoughts

Gcash can pretty much do anything to make our everyday tasks easier. You can save time, effort, and energy on your Online business journey. Your customer’s payment will be paid with less effort and on time. No more tedious of payment process anymore, it’s about how adjusting to our so-called “techy culture” will make your life simpler.
